Steve Turner is a legend in the games industry. Starting on the early Sinclair machines, he came to prominence writing games for the ZX Spectrum, where he created such classics as 3D Space Wars, Avalon, Dragontorc of Avalon, Astroclone, Quazatron, Magnetron, Ranarama and Intensity.
Working with other legends such as Andrew Braybrook (Paradroid), Dominic Robinson (Zynaps) and John Cumming (Rainbow Islands), Graftgold went from strength to strength and worked on 16-bit platforms, developing games for Sega on the Master System, Game Gear and Mega Drive, and on the Amiga and Atari ST platforms.
Here, Steve talks about his Sinclair ZX Spectrum days, and even plays guitar. :-)
This is now a FREE RELEASE… but unseen footage can be found in the documentary feature Memoirs of a Spectrum Addict, available from www.remicmedia.com/speccyaddict, alongside other detailed developer films.
